SQream Technologies

SQream Technologies is a high-tech Big Data Startup from Israel that specializes in providing cost-effective, high-performance analytics on very large datasets using GPU (Graphic Processing Unit) technology. It is capable of running complex queries on very large datasets using small commodity machines.

Companies using SQream Technologies do not have to start modelling the data. The database does not require indexes or writing a lot of code, while it is capable of loading and analysing over 100 Terabyte of raw data using SQL. They use patent pending technology to boost analytics performance through Massive Parallel Computing using GPU’s.

SQream Technologies was founded in 2010 by Ami Gal, a former General Manager at Granot Ventures and Kostya Varakin, a former programmer at Intel. Currently they are still in private Beta and they have two customers testing their product. They focus on SME’s and enterprises, specifically in the telecommunications, cyber security, banking and finance sectors. They have six patents pending and they were selected out of 460 global applicants to participate in the CODE_n competition at CEBIT 2014.

SQream Technologies states that they are up to 100x faster in processing the data than Oracle and Microsoft SQL, while requiring little hardware. This is especially relevant for Small and Medium Enterprises who want to move to a Big Data solution without the need to buy traditional solutions.
