Datafloq enables anyone to contribute articles, but we value high-quality content. This means that we do not accept SEO link building content, spammy articles, clickbait, articles written by bots and especially not misinformation. Therefore, we have developed an AI, built using multiple built open-source and proprietary tools to instantly define whether an article is written by a human or a bot and determine the level of bias, objectivity, whether it is fact-based or not, sentiment and overall quality.

Articles published on Datafloq need to have a minimum AI score of 60% and we provide this graph to give more detailed information on how we rate this article. Please note that this is a work in progress and if you have any suggestions, feel free to contact us.

Technology is growing at a breakneck speed, and let us face it, and the change is not going to be any slower. Every person on this planet is exposed to the digital world, and digitalization has spread its roots in every sector of our life. According to Statista, 4.66 billion people were active internet users as of October 2020, which is 59% of the world’s population.

Be it business, food, entertainment, finance, or any other sector, digitization has enrooted it.

For instance, a small town business person can now sell its products anywhere in the world! Digitalization has changed the world for good, but as the saying goes, “everything has its advantage and disadvantage,” digitalization comes with its own set of threats.

Our personal information is at risk; according to NCRB’s data, 4,4546 cases of cybercrimes were reported in 2019 and were against fraud, sexual exploitation and harassment, and data breaches.

The web world has a dark side where our personal information is sold for millions of dollars and makes us vulnerable in front of unethical hackers.

The need for cybersecurity services has never been more crucial than before. Cyber attackers try to access your personal information in an unauthorized way and use it to hurt you.

According to a leading cloud security firm, ‘Trend Micro‘ by 2031, Artificial Intelligence, aka AI, will replace the humans in the cybersecurity sector as hackers will use advanced tools to breach data.

With all the positive changes that AI will bring to cybersecurity below, we mention the expected changes we can expect to see.

AI will back the cybersecurity skill shortage

Cybersecurity is facing a skill shortage, and because of this, cybercriminals have got the recent opportunity to carry out nefarious activities. These wicked people sit back and prey on the weak points to make an attack.

To stay ahead of them, companies have to invest in cybersecurity solutions. Recent years have seen an upsurge in AI integrated defense systems to fight against suspicious emails and cyberattacks, acknowledging attacks’ patterns. However, such effective solutions have fuelled the hackers to use innovative threats, but AI will prove to be the champion.

AI can solve the entitled challenges related to cloud adoption

According to Dr. Torsten George, a cybersecurity evangelist, cloud adoption will continue to proliferate and have accelerated after the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the resources are created and spun down in a few hours or sometimes in seconds, it has become difficult for the IT team to keep up with the cloud entitlements.

Challenges such as who can access the cloud workload and how much time should they have access; such worries are raising questions in the security team’s minds. However, they already have traditional tools to manage such issues, but they have proved implicit.

AI will be embedded in the frameworks

AI will be very soon used to certify the authentication to a particular system. As AI can be more dynamic and guarantees real-time decision-making, it is more reliable.

AI can be used more frequently to lay down the real-time risks and prevent them from making advances right from the authentication stage.

Consent

AI will help weed out suspicious intentions

If you ever sit down with a developer, he will let you know that there is hardly a week that may pass without the discovery of any suspicious activity.

CEOs, managers, and executives understand that their organization is not safe, and malicious actors sit right behind their laptops to breach their data.

Cybersecurity service providers may know to be safe from open sources, but they are smart enough to push a tainted code into the packages. This is where our superhero AI will come into play and detect the possible fishy activity.

AI will protect around the clock

When combined with cybersecurity, AI can provide the ideal solution to monitor cyber attacks 24*7. Unlike regular people going to work, hackers don’t have an office schedule. They can launch an attack at any point in time from anywhere in the world.

It will not be a pleasant scenario to come to the office and know about the malicious activities on a working day, you should be aware of the attempt in real-time.

Rather than appointing the staff to monitor the security overnight, it is better to use AI cybersecurity solutions to be more cost-effective and efficient.

In the long run, cybersecurity companies can leverage AI’s power as legitimately AI applications can perform a security check. After that, your IT staff can make the diagnosis for you.

AI promises to offer a long-lasting solution

AI cybersecurity is organized to automatically interrupt network activities; unfortunately, it is designed to lack the amplitude to automate indefinitely.

However, it is a possibility that this issue may get fixed with an ‘update’, and soon AI will be able to perform everything.

AI solutions are permanent and do not need to be replaced quickly, which is the case with mundane technologies nowadays.

Generally, cybersecurity applications are replaced for two main reasons: first, the hackers can know the technology, and second, there can be changes in the network configuration that can create security gaps that solutions can’t cover. This is not the case with AI applications, as they are more likely to last longer than apps that lack automated adaptivity.

AI can quickly learn about new security threats

Believe us or not, AI can learn about new threats very quickly and enhance the user experience for good. It can perceive your system’s regular operation and would spot any unfamiliar activity within the wink of an eye.

Legitimate threats can be identified before blooming because of their infancy behavior. AI can halt them up and stop the virus from spreading.

We are wrapping it up!

More and more cybersecurity solution providers are heading up to AI. Though AI is still in the developing stage, it is already helping us in many ways. Just how AI has changed many other fields’ outlook, similarly, AI will change the outlook of cybersecurity, and that too for good.
