Datafloq AI Score: 52

Datafloq enables anyone to contribute articles, but we value high-quality content. This means that we do not accept SEO link building content, spammy articles, clickbait, articles written by bots and especially not misinformation. Therefore, we have developed an AI, built using multiple built open-source and proprietary tools to instantly define whether an article is written by a human or a bot and determine the level of bias, objectivity, whether it is fact-based or not, sentiment and overall quality.

Articles published on Datafloq need to have a minimum AI score of 60% and we provide this graph to give more detailed information on how we rate this article. Please note that this is a work in progress and if you have any suggestions, feel free to contact us.

It might sometimes seem as though the internet is a tool and sometimes a toy for the young, but it has become much more than that. The digital age is upon us and businesses that don’t adapt will be left behind. This is both a blessing and a curse. A larger online community means reaching millions of potential customers, but it also means learning how to thrive in the new online community.

Accepting That it’s Time to Evolve

If you haven’t already embraced the internet as a new resource in doing business, it’s time for your business to make its own digital transformation. This concept encompasses much more than simply taking advantage of new technology, though that is one part of it. It also involves a philosophy that encompasses accelerated business productivity, reduced costs and improved performance, forging relationships, and embracing positive social change.

From a technological perspective, this means embracing new ways of doing things. For instance, cloud technology started out as a way of storing data, but, today, it has the capability of storing an entire digital workstation. Utilizing technology that reduces costs will ultimately make your operations more efficient and help you meet or exceed consumer demands.

How Has the Digital Age Transformed the Way We Do Business?

A large part of entering the digital age is understanding that the old business strategies won’t work anymore. The internet has created a consumer base that is more educated and more aware of marketing schemes than previous generations. They don’t like feeling like they’re being sold a bill of goods, so, for your business to thrive, it will have to make a genuine effort to connect with users. This doesn’t mean your business can’t be creative with its marketing campaigns, but it will also have to be honest and genuine.

Extending that logic, today’s younger generations expect positive social influences from businesses. They seek out employers who embody their ideals and who demonstrate true empathy for society. It doesn’t matter which causes your business chooses to support, but it must work toward bettering some social issue. The online community expects business to be held to a higher standard in that they should feel responsible for how their brand and products affect society as a whole.

You Must be Mobile Friendly

It isn’t just enough to put up a website and buy online advertising to market your business. You must also be accessible via mobile devices. There are two main reasons for this. First, more people surf the web via their mobile devices than on desktops or laptops and they’re not likely to tolerate a web page that isn’t mobile friendly for more than a few minutes. Secondly, Google is aware of that fact and is penalising websites that aren’t mobile-friendly. If you don’t adapt your business website to make it more widely accessible, your site will likely not appear in the top spots of any search results.

Your Business Must be in it for the Long Haul

No matter how good your SEO game is or how well your business bonds with the online community, there are no shortcuts. It will likely take you years to really get your steam and that’s only if you remain dedicated to staying relevant in the evolving face of the digital landscape.

This means continuing to bond with a wider demographic via engaging blog posts and social media shares, as well as pursuing the latest techniques in marketing, web design, and SEO.

Business is continuing to adapt to the digital age, so there will be some stumbling along the way. The only real mistake you can make for your business is choosing not to value the online community. It can provide invaluable marketing resources and help your business connect with consumers in new and exciting ways. While it can be more than a little intimidating, the best way to learn is to jump in and start engaging.
