BTC is the primary telecommunications provider for the Bahamas. It is partly government owned and offers telephone, internet and wireless services. BTC is an acronym for the Bahamas Telecommunications Company. A majority share of BTC was purchased by Cable and Wireless on April 7, 2011 from the Government of the Bahamas.
