Andersen Charity: how an international IT company helps Ukrainian healthcare facilities
In September 2022, representatives of the Andersen Charity fund delivered valuable medical supplies to Cherkasy City Children’s Hospital at the total cost of ” 4,946. The clinic staff headed by director Klavdia Popko gladly received the humanitarian aid provided by Andersen (ultrasound therapy devices, digital blood pressure monitors, couches, medications, and more).
Such support is vitally important for the hospital. Since 1980, this medical institution was treating children from the Cherkasy region until Cherkasy Regional Children’s Hospital opened in 2011. So, qualified doctors and nurses who previously treated small patients from various towns and villages are currently working at the city hospital.
The institution performs an important mission as it provides emergency medical pediatric care. Specialists in 15 areas work with sick children. According to Klavdia Popko, no other clinic can receive as many patients as Children’s City Hospital of Cherkasy. The staff expressed immense gratitude to the charity foundation and the people who took part in raising funds.
