PyCon Sweden is a yearly conference on the Python language and related applications. This year, PyCon Sweden 2019 will take place between October 31st – November 1st at M’nchenbryggeriet in the center of Stockholm. The conference‘is arranged by Python Sverige, a registered nonprofit organization.
Following the success of last year, this year we will have a two-days conference with two parallel tracks. We are going to have’talks, workshops, panel discussion and career events. Our talks range from wide range of areas, from Machine Learning and AI, to the software engineering and performance tuning. Everyone will be able to find something they like. Our keynote’speakers from Microsoft, H&M and Plotly,’will talk about their experience of how they used Python based tools to solve complex‘tasks and create value for their company. On top of that, we have a number of workshops in parallel. The workshops’will cover some practical tools and skills that are useful when programming in Python. It also gives a chance for the audience to get their hands dirty by practicing’and interact with the speakers.’
IT education has recently become a hot topic and Python is one of the most popular beginners’ language. Our panel discussion on education will talk about the challenges and of teaching Python language and how to tackle them. They will also talk about the’key aspects of creating a good learning environment. Apart from education, we have a panel discussion on career. We have invited panelists from different companies in Stockholm. They will share their view about the talents they are missing to accelerate their development speed and what we as python developers can do, to make our CVs seen in the application process.
