The Role
Experienced Staff Python Engineer to join the growing engineering team in the UK. In this senior leadership role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable backend systems that power our cutting-edge products. You will also mentor team members, influence technical direction, and play a pivotal role in ensuring the platform continues to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions for the hospitality industry.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on backend engineering.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and related frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI).
- Strong understanding of database systems, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
- Proven expertise in building and scaling distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of system performance optimisation, security best practices, and testing methodologies.
