Position Title: Senior Software Engineer
Location: Boulder, CO or Austin, TX
Duration: Full-Time (Direct Hire)
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Ideal candidate will become a technical subject matter expert in client serverless IoT Platform technology.
- Will learn how to use client Platform APIs and SDKs.
- Modify and improve existing codebase where possible while implementing defect fixes/feature.
- Will be working closely with team members to design and implement software solutions.
- Candidate will develop and deliver detailed specifications for proposed solutions that use client technology, including estimated time and scope involved.
- Work closely with engineering to develop strategies for defect fixing and new feature implementation.
- Assist in documenting troubleshooting steps, lessons learned, and architecture of the platform.
- Build a technical knowledge base to speed up future defect resolutions.
- Triage and fix bugs that customers have identified.
- Increase test coverage of the client software.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of software development experience.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Willingness to dive into any issue to diagnose a problem.
- Ability to drive the problem to a resolution, including defect fixing and testing.
- Candidate with experience with REST-based API development and usage.
- Customer-first attitude with the ability to think like a customer.
- Works well with remote team.
- Ability to juggle lots of balls in the air across multiple outstanding tasks.
