To be successful in this role:
As a Software Engineer, you will be familiar with AWS in a DevOps (CI/CD) environment. Ideally, you will also have knowledge and experience of supporting best practice deployment approaches across multiple platforms and architectures. Other knowledge and experience requirements for this role include:
Multiple DevOps tools and configuration management to create continuous delivery systems
Infrastructure as code (IaC / IaaS)
Working with productionised Cloud environments
Git/Version control and managing build pipelines
Continuous improvement and process analysis
Working on larger scale programmes of work
Automation and non-functional requirements
Release processes & environment management
Build processes and deployment methods
Containerisation
Multiple development languages such as Python, Bash, GO, Java
Terraform and / or CDK
Position summary:
Our client is working alongside a Global finance business who span Consumer Finance, Vehicle Solutions and Business Finance. We are looking for Software Engineers at Mid to Senior levels to support a huge period of growth and digital transformation.
Job role and responsibilities:
The Software Engineer role will go across multiple stacks, and you will be working from home with the AWS platform and web application development in a serverless architecture. Focus will be on working with the squad and (depending on experience) acting as a lead to manage and develop the continuous integration and deployment solutions. Other responsibilities for this role include:
Automation, Configuration Management and continuous integration
Attending relevant agile ceremonies, reviews and workshops organised by stakeholders, and providing feedback on requirements and project documentation
Completing DevOps activities for the project
Comfortable in a working from home environment
