Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of coding experience with Java and Javascript or Python
- Experience with technologies such as: HTML/Javascript, TestCafe, NodeJS, Git, Jest or SOA
- Experience working with three or more of the following: continuous integration / continuous delivery tools, REST API development, serverless architecture, containerization, IaC, public / private cloud, application observability and/or messaging / stream architecture
- Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals: unit testing, code reviews, Agile and DevOps
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Experience with ReactJS, NodeJS and Typescript
- Experience delivering applications using componentized and distributed architectures
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments
- Experience delivering reusable components, patterns, tools
- Experience in the health care industry
- Development experience in Docker, Cloud, Kubernetes, Message Queues
- Cloud Experience. Azure preferred
- Solid understanding of formal architecture, design patterns and best practices
- Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical, globally-distributed audiences

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
