Location: Portsmouth- Hybrid working- 3/4 days a week onsite
Role overview-
We’re looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join and directly shapes the company’s new range of audio products. This is a unique opportunity to have a high degree of autonomy in your projects’giving you the freedom to build, create, and redefine the software that has a lasting impact on the company’s product line.
You’ll play a central role in a collaborative environment that values your expertise and input, where the emphasis is on quality and creativity. If you enjoy a hands-on, impactful role with room to make real contributions, this position will be a great fit.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in Embedded C programming
- Experience in bare metal development
- Hands-on experience with Zephyr OS for embedded applications
- Familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP), especially using tools like Analog Devices SigmaStudio and SHARC
- Experience with microprocessors (e.g., ARM, Nordic Semiconductors, Infineon)
- Knowledge of communication protocols (Bluetooth, USB, I2C, I2S, RS232, HTTP, UDP)
- Strong skills in software debugging on prototype hardware
- Ability to document and communicate software designs effectively
Desired Skills:
- High-speed design experience
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with Infineon PSoC Creator and ModusToolbox
- Understanding of API development and web-based applications (including GUI development)
