Our client, in the PE space, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist / Lead Data Scientist to join their London-based team. You’ll work within a high-performance environment, delivering cutting-edge data science solutions to drive investment decisions and maximize portfolio value. This is a rare opportunity to collaborate with deal teams and portfolio executives, utlising advanced analytics and AI to generate meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data science projects from end to end, scoping with stakeholders and delivering impactful solutions.
- Develop advanced AI and analytics models to support diligence and drive value creation across the portfolio.
- Manage and mentor junior team members, ensuring quality and consistency in project outcomes.
- Create internal tools, reusable codebases, and dashboards to enhance efficiency and insight generation.
- Build trusted relationships with senior executives, influencing decisions and shaping outcomes.
About You
- A strong academic background in a STEM field, with a Master’s degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in data science or analytics, ideally within a top-tier consultancy or equivalent high-performance environment.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and familiarity with big data tools such as Databricks or Snowflake.
- Skilled in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, and a solid grasp of DevOps best practices.
- Strong commercial acumen, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Experience in private equity or financial services is highly desirable.
