Layercode is building the next category defining PaaS A new cloud and developer platform built for the next generation of LLM powered applications
Layercode gives developers the tools and platform they need to build and scale AI features and products.
We are backed by world-class investors and angels.
We're now hiring engineers to join our small but mighty engineering team based in the UK. By joining early you will have an outsized impact on our product. If you'd like to be part of building the Vercel/Render/Heroku for the AI era – let’s chat.
The company was co-founded by Damien Tanner (co-founder of Pusher and MediaCore), Stuart Bowness (co-founder of MediaCore, acquired by Workday) and Aidan Hornsby (co-founder of DoubleUp, working with Huberman Lab, Peter Attia and many more).

– LLM ops, observability or evaluation tools
– Cloudflare Workers
– Clickhouse
What is working at Layercode like?
We strongly believe that small teams can do big things even more so in the age of AI-powered development. At Layercode, not only are we building a new cloud platform, we're also building a new kind of company. A company where individuals can do their best work and have autonomy and conviction, working on hard problems that make us feel proud at the end of the day. We also know that it's a marathon, not a sprint, and to do great work, we have to take care of ourselves and those around us.
We believe that time spent working in person is important, especially when building a completely new product in a new industry. We aim to spend at least two days a week in person at our Brighton office. But we are open to exceptions for exceptional people who might be based anywhere in the world.
Working in the product engineering team at Layercode will be different from many other engineering roles. We're building a developer product, and you'll be able to make many product decisions yourself. But we know that the only true metric for success is whether customers love our product. So as well as having direct impact building features, we expect everyone in the team to be excited to engage with customers and be a part of the product shaping process.
Given we're building a product for developers who are building LLM-enabled applications, we'd be crazy not to be using AI ourselves to build it. So we expect you to have a similar enthusiasm for AI and desire to make development as efficient as possible with AI.
