Urgently hiring for a Lead Engineer to lead a team of engineering staff. This is an opportunity to work on a full stack project that is in private beta and involves image processing with scope of introducing AI in the near future.
You must be pre-SC Cleared to apply for this position.
Please note: No long leaves (more than 2 weeks) will be permitted during this contract
Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruitment & retention of engineering staff in team scope
- Lead a team of engineers as a part of a multi-disciplinary product team
- Work closely with Delivery Lead and Product Lead for services in the scope of the team
- Provide technical leadership from own experience
- Working closely with Senior Engineers in their own & adjacent teams
- Attend and provide key input to agile ceremonies
- Maintain a detailed understanding of how the team's products work with, depend on, and support other services
- Lead support activities in the team
- Lead release activities in the team
- Mentor Senior and Junior Developer/DevOps engineers in the team
Essential Skills:
- You MUST be pre-security cleared to SC level; SC less than 7 years old5+ Years’ experience in leading IT Engineering teams
- GDS Experience
- Technical Skills
- Strong Skills: AWS, Java, Spring Boot, Camunda, React.js, Python, Flask, Postgres
- Strong familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working on EBSA
- Technical certifications
