Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer to join our team in Chester, UK. The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of professional experience in Java development, with a deep understanding of Spring Framework, and Microservices architecture. The role demands expertise in designing and building high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions for banking systems.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficient in Java (J2SE, J2EE) and related technologies.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and other Spring modules.
- Proven expertise in microservices architecture, including service discovery, API gateway, and inter-service communication.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, with experience in designing and optimizing queries.
- Strong experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of Angular or similar front-end frameworks is a plus.
Banking Domain Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of banking systems, financial transactions, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust, scalable, and secure Java-based solutions.
- Drive the implementation of microservices architecture leveraging Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and associated technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements.
- Ensure the quality of code through adherence to coding standards, testing practices, and effective error handling.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, recommending innovative solutions to business challenges.
- Work in a hybrid model, contributing both onsite and remotely as required.
