We are looking for AWS DevOps individuals to join our diverse colleagues in our Cloud Infrastructure Services (CIS) practice. These roles would be based remotely, with London office accessibility and longer term, may require UK-wide travel. You will need to be Security Cleared already for these roles.

By joining as a DevOps Engineer, you will work alongside other experienced Cognizant employees on projects that deliver solutions to our clients. Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll facilitate continuous delivery of quality software using DevOps best practices and principles. Your responsibilities will involve a broad cross section of skills, including the ability to work as a consultant, giving professional recommendations and advice. You’ll work clients on-site, ensuring the right practices are in place, and taking the lead on automating as far as possible. Your role will be hands-on, actively pairing to share knowledge and increase the delivery team’s maturity around Operability.
In particular, you will work on the below:
- Successful completion of Design Authority Reviews, without caveats.
- Meeting all Live Service Acceptance Criteria as defined in SOW & SLA
- Sign-off of all relevant security artefacts. The project must meet all Security deliverables outlined within the DPS Sprint activities prior to Security sign off and Business Owner risk acceptance
- Successful completion of all test and execution phases
- Ensuring that project status reports are accurately completed for at least each sprint
- Tracking all risks and issues. Ensuring that mitigation plans are in place
- Ensuring that stakeholders are updated and that all key decisions and actions are logged
- Completion of a post go-live review.
Requirements
- 6 months+ experience in DevOps Engineer roles
- SC Cleared.
- Define AWS Infrastructure & Environment designs to host solution.
- Have working experience of different AWS Services and capability to implement.
- Be able to produce approved high and low-level designs that conform to client's architecture standards, and product / application standards and requirements.
- Perform Application debugging, SSL implementation and Application migration.
- Automating and Configuring CI-CD Pipelines.
- Strong technical background in build, release and environments, with experience and expertise with software build tools CI tools like Jenkins, GitLab.
- Ability to automate AWS Infrastructure Design and Implementation.
- Infra Provisioning from Development to Production through Ansible & Terraform.
- Enterprise Application Hosting Design & Implementation.
- Network & systems integration, administration & management.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, technologies, and protocols.
- Understanding and working experience of Big Data, Pentaho product set, Denodo product set.
- Have experience in App Dynamics and Dynatrace would be an added advantage.
