It is made up of avatars, or digital representations of people, who interact with each other in real time. The metaverse is also home to virtual businesses and organizations, which function just like their real-world counterparts.
To access the metaverse, users must install special software to create an avatar and enter the virtual world. Once they are in the metaverse, they can explore it however they like. There are no rules or boundaries, meaning users can do whatever they want.

Are the metaverse and web3 the same?
The metaverse and Web 3 are not the same. Web 3 is infrastructure and can be used to create an open metaverse. However, the metaverse can perfectly exist without Web 3. In that case, the metaverse will be owned and controlled by Big Tech instead of consumers.
