80,000 – 90,000 Salary

OVERVIEW

A successful FinTech are hiring for a Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in Azure to be a team lead in their Data function! You will be leading and mentoring junior level Data Engineers in a hands-on Data Engineering role, as well as spearheading key Data Engineering projects for the business. Your responsibilities as a Senior Data Engineer will include but not be limited to:

  1. Lead and mentor a small team of Junior Data Engineers on key DE projects for the business.
  2. Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Analysts as part of the wider Data function and be the focal point for Data Engineering.
  3. Leverage your experience and knowledge of Python, SQL and Azure in a hands-on role to deliver Data Engineering projects at scale.
  4. Engage with business stakeholders and non-technical stakeholders

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

A successful Senior Data Engineer will have the following:

  1. Proven commercial experience as a Data Engineer working with Python, SQL & Azure
  2. Must have experience using Terraform and CI/CD.
  3. 4+ years’ experience working as a Data Engineer commercially, preferably some of which in a Senior role with exposure to mentoring junior Data Engineers.
  4. Minimum of BSc in STEM subject.
