Role: Data Scientist
Salary: 80K – 98K
Location: 3 days a week in a central London office
We are working with a boutique investment research firm dedicated to providing in-depth market analysis and actionable insights to their clients. They specialize in uncovering unique investment opportunities through rigorous research and data-driven strategies. They are a small, dynamic team, that value innovation, collaboration, and a passion for excellence.
They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, statistical modelling and knowledge of financial services data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and interpret complex financial data to identify trends and investment opportunities
- Comprehensive assessment of all aspects of data gathering, storage, and usage, including financial records and customer and market trend information
- Collaborate with analysts and other team members to design and execute data-driven research projects
- Create and maintain data pipelines and ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Internal Gen AI Champion. Test, evaluate and recommend third party LLMs, LLM frameworks and new models to engineering team
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in the finance or investment sector
- Previous experience building Gen AI based production grade systems
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL and Power BI
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization tools
- Familiarity with financial markets, investment principles, and economic indicators
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
