We are incredibly excited to be partnered with a rapidly growing and industry leading payments scale-up who are looking for a Staff Engineer to help play a pivotal role in the development team.
You will help shape their architecture, mentor talented junior developers and drive the evolution of their tech stack.
You will be joining and leading a diverse, cross functional team who all share a passion and obsession for all things tech.
Day to Day Work:
- Architect and Build: Design and develop reliable, scalable services and APIs that power open banking data and payments across Europe.
- Influence Across the Board: Report to the CTO and play a key role in shaping technical decisions across the department.
- Set the Bar High: Write and test code that meets the highest quality and security standards from the get-go.
- Modern Tech Stack: Engage with cutting-edge technologies’containers, Kubernetes, and the cloud
Ideally you will have:
- Extensive 4+ Years’ experience in Java
- Adept at crafting RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures
- Deep understanding of architectural design, capable of weighing trade-offs to ensure maintainability and scalability
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration, with a solid grasp of control planes, scaling, and reliability.
- Expertise in designing and deploying large-scale services on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Passionate about code quality, testing (including TDD), and automation, always striving for reliable, scalable solutions
- Experienced in guiding engineers, helping them navigate complex problems and develop in autonomous teams.
