Purpose of Position:
Seeking a Perception Software Engineer passionate about developing the world's leading Machine Guidance product.
The Perception Software Engineer will collaborate with various technical teams to design and take into production the world's leading machine guidance product. The right candidate for this position will be a highly motivated Perception Software Engineer with a breadth of understanding of working with Lidar and other perception sensor types and experience infusing sensor data to enable efficient perception algorithms effectively.
M ajor Areas of Responsibility:
Develop algorithms for sensor fusion and object association between Lidar and other sensor modalities.
Utilize fused sensor data to develop algorithms for Level 2 and Level 3 Autonomous Machine functions.
Optimize algorithms for performance while minimizing computational complexity.
Collaborate closely with software, firmware, and RTL developers to efficiently implement algorithms in embedded software or logic.
Document and communicate design work.
Conduct design reviews.
Education & Knowledge & Experience Required:
BS Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Mathh, Physics, or a related field and 3 years of relevant experience.
Experience with Lidar, Cameras, IMU's and other perception sensors.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills in statistics, estimation, and optimization.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to understand complex systems, and ability to work within a team in a fast-paced environment.
