The Data Platform Chapter in WI Technology organization is seeking an individual who can blend data engineering, cloud, and development expertise to build and maintain the Advisor MDM Platform. In this role, you will apply variety of technologies to develop innovative Data solutions and APIs. This position is a critical element to delivering Fidelity s promise of creating the best customer experiences in financial services.
The Principal Data Engineer in Advisor MDM will play active role in solution design, systems analysis, solution implementation co-ordination across multiple teams, solving key technical challenges and mentoring the junior developers in the team.
The Expertise You Have
- Bachelor s in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required.
- 8+ years of overall experience in implementing back end and middle tier applications
- Excellent analysis and documentation skills.
- Experience with MVC frameworks (AngularJS, Angular 8+, or similar) and common JavaScript design patterns.
- Experience with design and development of high TPS REST based Microservices using frameworks like Spring, Mybatis, Jersey etc.
- Knowledge of API gateways (Apigee preferred)
- Application development experience on a public cloud Azure or AWS; Certification a Plus
- Development experience with Event Driven applications using Kafka.
- Experience in Oracle PL/SQL or understanding of working with relational databases and familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica.
- Knowledge on CD process and tools and practices (preferably GitHub, Jenkins, Stash, Artifactory etc.)

The Team
We are looking for a strong data engineer to lead the team in application development within our data management space. This candidate will need to have sound communication skills, be able to comprehend business requirements, translate them into technical design specs and apply the same in the development process. We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable team player with the ability to multi-task, and work under minimal supervision.
