Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and document and incorporate software and system architecture into conceptual designs
Collaborates with IT teams (Business Systems Analysis, DBA, etc) to understand/refine/influence business requirements
Maintains knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products related to architectural solutions
Maintains knowledge of current domains and strategic roadmaps and that solutions are aligned with business and IT goals and objectives
Evaluates and drives new project development
Anticipates future business models/needs and ensures inclusion in business requirements
Develops technical specifications/design documents as defined in application/system designs and are clearly and comprehensively documented, understood and traceable to business requirements
Ensures compatibility with application code standards
Works with database team to evaluate and establish applicable database technical requirements
Develops application/system code as defined in technical specifications
Creates and executes unit test plans and documents results
Conducts all required reviews (e.g., code reviews, test plan reviews)
Reviews and troubleshoots potential coding issues
Demonstrates clear understanding of how the application may be impacted in all aspects of the testing process (e.g., regression testing)
Analyzes/fixes defects identified in testing; including root cause analysis
Partners with applicable groups (e.g., QA, Business Systems Analysis) to review and provide feedback on test plan and scenarios
Ensures organized source code control and release management
Supports all phases of the SDLC and deploys code to higher environments and collaborates with other in support of the deployment plan
Provides on-going expertise to operational support groups and IT teams
Participate and support of project teams. Responsible for implementing portions of project plans
Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
Solves complex problems and/or conducts complex analyses
Leads and mentor associates. May assist management and/or provide recommendations for associate development, training and input for performance appraisals
Design and develop database ETL, reporting, and automation processes
Work with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, and/or related functional area or equivalent work experience
7+ years of experience with MSSQL database querying and development
7+ years of experience using Microsoft C#, ASP.NET for web application development
3+ years of experience in SSIS package development
Experience in participating in system application design, process modeling, business value analysis and business process design
Knowledgeable in SDLC processes, roles, responsibilities and deliverables
Extremely proficient in PC based software programs including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Visio
Skilled in authoring technical documentation
Negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills
Must be able to work PST or MTN time zone standard business hours
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in SSAS cube development and SSRS report development
Experience in Healthcare/Insurance
Self-motivated, self-directed, team oriented, responsible, and reliable, with a positive attitude and a proactive style. Must possess the ability to work in a highly variable, virtual and matrixed environment
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to communicate ideas and analysis in a clear and concise fashion to clients, colleagues and senior business leaders

The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $97,300 to $176,900.
