About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Credit Cards and Merchant Services Technology organization within Wells Fargo Technology. Our team provides development and support of the Credit Card Acquisitions Platform . This position will play a key role in assisting with the development of our modernization/transformation activities including cloud migration. The Lead Software Engineer will lead design and development of software solutions utilizing Java, SpringBoot, MongoDB, Kafka and Cloud technologies.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications, US:
- 8+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of Core Java and Spring experience
- 3+ years of Spring Boot, RESTful Web services and knowledge of Microservices
- 2+ years of Cloud experience
Desired Qualifications:
- BA/BS/BE degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
- 4+ years of Agile experience
- Experience with Kafka
- Knowledge of Microservices
- 5+ years' experience with SDLC tools and processes including GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Sonar, Maven or Gradle
- Knowledge of BDD
- 3+ years of Mongo DB experience
- 1+ year Azure-Kubernetes experience
- 1+ year React
- 4 + years of experience in developing JUnit test cases
- 1+ year experince in dveloping BDD test cases
