The Financial Crime team in the UK works with clients to manage business risk through:
responsive and robust investigations driven by situational expertise and analytics,
remediation built around technologies to improve efficiency,
transformation projects that help clients emerge stronger from unplanned events, and
working with our clients to change their financial crime functions for the better through enhanced controls, monitoring systems, analytics, improved policy and procedures, more effective risk management, and reduction in costs.

As part of our team, you’ll provide support to our clients by targeting their areas of concern and developing strategies so that they can always be confident in their exposure to risk.
The Financial Crime team sits in the wider Forensic Services capability within PwC and brings together a mix set of capabilities to help clients prevent, respond to and remediate a wide range of Financial Crime threats, risks and complex issues.
In this role, the successful candidate will be expected to work on a range of client engagement with UK and multinational financial services clients, in particular those cryptocurrency and cryptoasset organisations that are trying to navigate the regulatory environment as it relates to financial crime.
We support our clients with a range of services:
Meeting the regulator’s financial crime requirements as part of authorisation and certification;
Understanding the financial crime associated with these assets;
Designing the systems and controls to manage the risks associated with cryptocurrency and cryptoassets.
The role responsibilities will include the following:
Managing projects including project delivery, budget and risk
Actively contributing on client-facing project work, demonstrating domain expertise, and working in a team to produce the required high standard of deliverables
Building and maintaining relationships both internally within the PwC network and externally with clients
Supporting sales initiatives through leading on bids, proposal responses and developing opportunities
Coaching junior team members and reviewing their output
Drafting client deliverables
Proactively suggesting better / more efficient ways to deliver our work
Essential skills and experience
In order to be successful you will need to show ability in most of the following areas:
The ability to navigate, understand and apply the relevant financial crime regulations (Anti Money Laundering,, sanctions, fraud, bribery and corruption) in the UK and elsewhere
An understanding of the control frameworks required to mitigate non-financial risk
The analytical skills to understand and navigate the processes which are needed to support these frameworks
The relationships skills to develop a network of client contacts, as well as relevant internal stakeholders across the firm
Exposure to fintechs and other organisations leveraging more innovative technologies
Excellent presentation and report writing skills
Bachelor’s degree or above, financial crime qualification preferable.
