Position: Embedded Software Engineer
Salary: Up to 65,000
Location of Office: Chorley
The role: A new position has now been created for an Embedded Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team working towards the design and development of industry leading products for the safety and detection industries.
They are British owned and design, develop, test and manufacture all their products in their state of the art, purpose-built facilities in Lancashire. In this role the successful Embedded Engineer will be joining a small team design environment where you will work closely with other software and hardware engineers towards the development of new products. You should expect to contribute from initial concept meetings through to in house testing. You may also be required to work closely with a customer on occasion, so strong communication skills are required.
Skills and experience required:
* Embedded C programming
* ARM based microcontrollers
* IAR IDE or similar
* Knowledge of electronics design
Desirable skills and experience:
* Analogue circuit design
* Digital circuit design
* PCB design and schematic capture
The successful Embedded Design Engineer focus will be the design and development of a range of new products, working closely with likeminded engineers in a multidiscipline engineering team.
You will be expected to contribute from initial concept through to in house testing and manufacture and will have the chance to see products you have designed come to fruition.
Working as a key member of a small team you can expect plenty of variety and challenges in your role and the chance to tackle a range of programming challenges whilst working towards the development of new products that will be sold around the world.
