Cloud DevOps Engineer opportunity with an innovative startup in London.
Our client is looking for an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to join their small engineering team on a temp-to-perm basis. You will be working on a Cloud-based platform within the SaaS space.
The business is a professional services consultancy revolutionising their industry through cutting-edge technology and an agile approach. As a key developer in the team, you will help them deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions that meet the evolving needs of their customers.
The ideal candidate is someone with startup experience who has worked on cloud products built to scale.
Responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and implement cloud infrastructure solutions on leading cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments using tools like Terraform, Docker etc.
- Build and maintain Github CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery and ensure rapid, reliable releases. Proficiently use tools including Github Actions, JIRA and testing frameworks
- Champion security best practices (OWASP, CIS, CSA) throughout the software development lifecycle, integrating security tooling and automation
- Develop and maintain monitoring and logging systems to ensure system health, performance, and security
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents, collaborating with developers to identify root causes and implement preventative measures
- Write Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and configuration management tools
- Develop and maintain applications and tooling using TypeScript, React, Python, and Go to support DevOps processes
- Track time and resources through JIRA projects, update documentation (workflows, processes) in Confluence with diagrams in Figjam
- Contribute to the entire product development lifecycle from ideation to deployment and maintenance
- Collaborate effectively with software developers and external security teams
- Stay current with the latest cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and security trends
About you:
- Degree in Engineering (or a related field) and relevant commercial experience
- Several years of Cloud DevOps engineering experience, preferably in cloud solutions
- Commercial experience with React, Typescript, Python and Go
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Previous startup experience
On Offer:
- 60k – 70k dependent on experience
- Remote working with one day per week in the London office
