Job Title: Data Manager
Salary: up to 60,000
The successful candidate for this role will be managing the design and implementing the holistic data strategy for the company, with the aim of driving continuous improvement and innovation in the way data is stored, classified, and secured and utilized to achieve the company's vision.
Main duties and responsibilities
– Implement a data strategy and data architecture that meet the ongoing needs of the companies Digital Transformation program, collating data from disparate systems and result in data being a shareable asset
– Manage the adoption of data architecture
– Excel the use of cloud technologies to enable efficient management of the companies’ data
– Work aside ICT security and Risk and Compliance department to ensure data is protected and secured
– Work along with the Business Process Improvement team to optimize key processes for data quality, leveraging the expertise of third-party suppliers
Skills
– Understanding of the key elements of data quality and governance
– Experience of how cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure can be leveraged to support data management practices
– Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication and influencing skills
– Problem solver with the ability to analyse situations or issues
Desirable
– Degree level educated
– Understanding of TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
– Experience with Digital Transformation initiatives
– Understanding of change management and business analysis techniques
– Experience in a financial or professional service
