We at Servers.com are looking for a Hybrid Cloud Architect to join our rapidly growing engineering squad.
As a part of the team, you will be working with our present and future customers from the online gaming industry:
- examining the players’ needs;
- diving into the back-end design of the greatest online tournaments for hundreds of thousands of people;
- advancing the gaming technology with the most suitable bleeding edge hardware and modern hybrid cloud solutions.
We’re now looking into doubling our sales for the gaming industry and won’t be able to achieve this without your help.
If you’re passionate about making gaming servers reliable and fast for players all over the U.S., Europe and Asia, this is the job for you!
What you will be doing:
- Overall solution/product design and selection.
- Technical presentations, demos, screencasts.
- Working closely with the customer, arranging the requirements, conducting benchmarks and analyzing results.
- Managing integration projects, supporting the sales team during onboarding of potential new customers.
- Reporting to the product management team about what improvements should be made to our product roadmap.
- Managing stock availability and deployment timelines together with the supply chain managers.
- Working in Guildford, UK, or Amsterdam, Netherlands (partly remote is fine), as well as during business trips to customer sites and sales events.
You are:
- either already working as an Architect or have a desire to progress into an Architecture role;
- a tech enthusiast with 3 or more years of involvement in different IT and tech activities;
- a fluent English speaker;
- available to oсcasional work overtime with customers from the U.S. and APAC;
- aware of — or ready to dive into — modern technology including at least some of the following:
– VLAN;
– RAID;
– CPU and hardware design;
– IP networking, IP routing and BGP;
– In general, no specific brand or software: virtualization technologies, firewalling, network attached storages.
Nice-to-have requirements:
- STEM bachelor degree.
- Any knowledge of cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with computer hardware.
- Experience in system administration.
- Basic scripting.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: £70,000 – £80,000.
