Position: Cloud Architect

Location: Remote (UK-based)

Type: Full-time

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Cloud Architect with extensive experience in Azure, DevOps, and Terraform to join our team. In this remote position, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cloud solutions while also serving as a technical account manager for key clients. Your responsibilities will include a blend of technical leadership, solution architecture, and client-facing advisory to ensure the delivery of robust and scalable cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Architecture & Design: Develop and implement cloud strategies, architectures, and designs using Azure and Terraform.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Build and manage infrastructure automation pipelines, leveraging Terraform and related tools.
  • DevOps Practices: Lead the integration of DevOps methodologies to streamline development, deployment, and operational processes.
  • Technical Account Management: Serve as the primary technical contact for designated clients, providing advisory support and ensuring alignment with their technical and business goals.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and business stakeholders, to ensure seamless delivery of cloud solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest Azure services, DevOps trends, and Terraform best practices, integrating them into the organization's operations.
  • Governance & Security: Ensure all solutions comply with best practices, governance, and security standards.

Requirements

  • Extensive Experience in Azure: Deep understanding of Azure services, architecture, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Terraform: Strong hands-on experience with Terraform for managing Infrastructure as Code.
  • DevOps Expertise: Proven track record implementing CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring solutions.
  • Client Engagement: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and grow technical relationships with clients.
  • Technical Leadership: Ability to mentor teams, conduct technical reviews, and drive architectural decisions.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering business outcomes.
  • Remote Work Capability: Self-motivated and disciplined to thrive in a remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
  • Experience with additional IaC tools or scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Python).
  • Background in cloud cost optimization and monitoring solutions.
