How Artificial Intelligence Will Influence the Entertainment Industry?

The world is now miles ahead of what we would have imagined 20 years ago. Technology has evolved, and new emerging trends have ensued. What seemed impossible decades ago has become our everyday reality. Innovation is also at its peak. Sooner than later, we will witness a digital revolution like no other. But, sticking with the present, we’ve already witnessed a lot. From Alexa development, deep learning to augmented reality, technology has made a permanent stamp on humanity, and it‘s never going away anytime soon, or ever. Key among all these developments, however, is artificial intelligence, which is an emerging technology. It’s everywhere. It spins from robotics in hospitals to spam filter categorization and process automation in business management. AI has already shown up and is bound to make its mark in the entertainment industry as well. With little to say, here’s how artificial intelligence will influence the entertainment industry.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Virtual Reality (VR)

We all know what Virtual Reality can do, or rather, what it has done. Have you ever heard how VR brought the pre-historic Lascaux caves back into view? Or how it’s improving mining operations? VR simulates what’s only presumed to be real by creating elusive and interactive content, making it vivid and possible to touch and feel what could have been a reality. VR combines AI technology to train people virtually for actual jobs using the in-house proprietary artificial intelligence framework and Training Simulation Platforms (TSP).

Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence

This emergent technology is already creating an insurgency in the tech realm. It’s a recent development that has not settled in well in most developer’s minds but is likely to usurp virtual reality in no time. One main advantage of Augmented Reality over Virtual Reality is that it gives a user their freedom of use without having a mounted display on. By definition, according to Gartner Glossary, augmented reality is the use of real-time information as text, audio, graphics, and other forms of visual enhancements that are integrated with objects in the real world. It integrates the physical environment with the digital world and plays closely with artificial intelligence. At present, a superimposition of Augmented Reality with Artificial Intelligence is already creating huge waves in the entertainment industry. It is indeed true and in-happening, as seen with the development of fun apps like Threedy, Youcam Makeup, Vera Concierge, and Clipdrop. More of these apps are likely to be developed in the foreseeable future.

Edutainment and Artificial Intelligence

We all probably loved and enjoyed those grade school moments when teachers made a whole class watch a video the entire lesson. Well, that’s a conventional form of edutainment. Edutainment is a combination of Education and Entertainmet. It’s meant to be educative and enjoyable, making it easier for your brain to remember in the future. Edutainment can be implemented through fun but educational quiz or any other type of game. AI chips in to help in many ways, automation being significant. Creation of subtitles, moderation of age, content classification, and AI models to create algorithms of viewing patterns to help recommend preferable edutainment videos to people.

Games and Artificial Intelligence

The gaming industry has become vast, with many Millenials joining in. It has become a generational custom but also a good source of engaging leisure time. What draws people into gaming is the wit and creativity involved in the gaming industry, thanks to Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence. Most virtual reality game simulations employ principles of AI to develop intelligent behaviors in Non-Player Characters (NPC), with close resemblance to human intelligence. Artificial intelligence is likely to stimulate more of what it’s heralded. More developments are still underway to make the gaming industry more realistic and involving through the creation of extra realistic three-dimensional graphics that are more appealing to users.

Conclusion

Artificial intelligence is likely to stimulate more advancement in the entertainment industry in the future. As we’ve already seen in recent developments, artificial intelligence has become an integral part of our lives and has greatly influenced how we interact and see the world. Artificial Intelligence is everywhere, from our mobile devices at home to larger industries such as businesses and enterprises. Artificial Intelligence has made a permanent stamp in the entertainment industry as well. The development of real user interphase graphics has become a reality, and this has given ground for more sophisticated advancements in the future.
