Icimo is all about visualizing data and it connects to an organisations data to make it understandable. Their idea is to keep it simple instead of complex. As it is built on top of Tableau Software, it connects to the data located at various locations within the organisation and turns that into information that is visualized in a single platform. They have developed three different platforms that work together.
Their SaaS application allows users to monitor feeds from different social media networks, reviews and/or news from different sources like blogs as well as competitor information. If wanted an alert can be created to take action. From the dashboard it is possible to coordinate a response if needed. Via the platform the company data is turned into insights about demographics or interests of your customers, best performers or potentials, see trends etc. Via their Active Data solution it is also possible to add specialized data from other sources.
The cloud-based marketing and analytics software offers over 250 consumer and 100 business dimensions that can be used to gain a more holistic view of the data. Via the drag-and-drop solution it becomes easy to add or delete data sets and thus play with the data at hand.
Bryce Gartner, a former CMO at International Merchant Services, founded the company in November 2010. With his experience he brings a lot of C-level experience to the big data startup that can be very valuable in the further development of the company. Especially because Icimo has not yet raised any funding to scale the business. They have not yet won any awards and the problem can be that the additional value is lost when people see it as just another dashboard.
In the coming years Icimo will have to show itself and show why it is the better SaaS solution in the market. They have all the potential but do have to prove it first. We therefore give them a 3 bits rating.
