BellaDati is a software-as-a-Service analytics dashboard for everyone within the organisation. It enables organisations to bring together their sales, marketing, HR, financial and operational data into visualized reports that are easily accessible via a web browser or a mobile device (they have developed an iPhone app). Based in Prague, Chicago and Singapore, the big data startup went public end of 2012. Belladati was founded by Martin Trgina, who previously founded Trgiman and converted that company into Belladati in the beginning of 2012.
The big data startup Belladati has created a data warehouse that is directly connected to well-known and massive databases or services such as those from Salesforce.com, Google Docs, Oracle or Facebook. This enables its customers to easily pull valuable insights from those sources to enrich their own data and obtain better insights. It offers managers, analysts and developers each their own layers and ability to consume, analyse or develop content or comment on the visuals shown. As such manager get easy access to valuable intelligence and visuals, analysts can drill-down deep into the data while developers are able to transform or embed charts into new applications. In all cases, no coding is required and Belladati has developed an API to help integrate with even more platforms easily as well. Belladati can be used in the cloud or on-premises.
All data gets instantly visualized into the dashboard and the dashboard provides clear and understandable graphs, a total of over 240 different charts are available. The main target group of BellaDati is leading Small or Medium sized Business and data-centric departments of large corporations. In the past year, BellaDati has grown a lot and as such is now capable of servicing clients across the globe.
They have developed several applications for specific industries, ranging from the hospitality industry, to the gaming or education industry. They have a clear pricing structure, ranging from $ 500 per month for startups up to over $ 3000 per month for larger organizations that are looking for a hosted solution.
The beauty of this big data startup is the richness of the visuals, while enabling an easy to use dashboard that provides any one within the organization with the right information at the right moment via the right device. Unfortunately, they do not have any patents but they did win some awards already, including the Top European Smart Startup award from Venture Beat in June 2013. Funding is up to $3 million provided among others by Martin Trigna himself as well as Miloslave Trginova. We therefore give them a 6 bits rating.
