  2. Alteryx Formed in 1997 by three owners and still in action, this Big Data Company has amassed $163 million dollars in venture funding and serves around 1000 customers around the world. The company has its roots in another firm called SRC that also works closely with the US.
  3. Tamr Tamrs scalable data unification system makes it rank in the top positions of the list even though its revenue is meager as compared to the other companies in the network world. The concept it uses, that is data-unification, is considered the next big thing in data and analytics.
  4. Cloudera One of the most popular names in the Apache Hadoop market, Clouderas Big Data revenues hit $80 million in 2015. The company also acquired a data-visualization software, DataPad, in late 2014.
  5. Splunk Splunk’s Big Data revenues has seen one of the largest improvements in terms of revenue. The company raised $105 million more revenue in just one year. The company uses Big Data tools to specialize in application management and IT operations management

Another company that is although not enlisted in the Top 5, but still is gaining a lot of attraction is MongoDB.

MongoDB The reason MongoDB excels in the category is because of the rising demand of NoSQL databases. In fact, the potential of the company is highly watched by the Wall Street as to when this highly progressive company pursues an IPO of its own. Currently, it accounts for $62 million in the Big Data market.
