ApacheCon Europe

Location: Kulturbrauerei, Sch'nhauser Allee 36, Berlin, Germany
Date: October 22, 2019 12:00 amfloq.to/S8jf1

The official conference series of The Apache Software Foundation

Join us on October 22-24, 2019 at Kulturbrauerei Berlin. We’ll discuss the latest innovations in containers, cloud, DevOps, IoT, servers, web frameworks, and many other Apache projects and communities in a collaborative, vendor-neutral environment.

ApacheCon is the place to come to learn what Apache projects are doing. Projects can strengthen their communities here and’build bridges to other’projects.

ApacheCon started in 1998, and we’ve held over 30 events in North America, Europe, and Asia. We bring together’350+ projects across many technology spaces, and developers from more than 100 countries who collaborate on these projects.

Companies who’sponsor ApacheCon‘gain visibility with the developers who make these projects happen.
Companies also have a chance to showcase their technologies to our user community. Sponsors of past events include Apple, Google, Microsoft, Red Hat, Canonical, HP, IBM, and many, many others.

All tickets are valid for both days and include free WiFi, food, snacks and drinks throughout the two conference days on Wednesday and Thursday, as well as for the Barcamp on Tuesday.

We are very happy to announce our first keynote speaker Thomas Gageik, and we will be announcing more soon.

Thomas joined the European Commission in 2017 as the Director’in charge of Digital Business Solutions ‘including the Open Source Strategy
within the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Informatics.

Thomas has a Masters in Computer Science and throughout his career; he has held leading positions with a number of international companies in different industries like Consumer Goods, Manufacturing and Financial Services. Most recently, he was the CEO of the IT Services Group of a global Pharma Conglomerate.

Currently, his Directorate focuses on the digital transformation of the European Commission and new opportunities to bring the public administration closer to the citizens.

Follow us on twitter @ApacheCon for the latest info.

ApacheCon Europe 2019 is organised by newthinking communications GmbH and the Apache Software Foundation.
