Electromagnetic Field Theory

Explore electromagnetic field theory and develop the mathematical and analytical skills to understand electric and magnetic fields. You’ll apply vector calculus, Coulomb’s law, Gauss’s law, Laplace’s and Poisson’s equations, and boundary conditions to analyze electrostatic and magnetostatic problems.

As you progress, you’ll examine dielectric and magnetic materials, electromagnetic induction, Maxwell’s equations, and electromagnetic-wave propagation. You’ll also explore polarization, reflection, refraction, dispersion, waveguides, and resonators, developing how electromagnetic fields and waves propagate in materials.
