Foundations: Resources and Linear Systems

Build a foundation in linear algebra by learning how to represent and solve systems of linear equations. Drawing on content from Jeffrey Holt, author of Linear Algebra with Applications, published by Macmillan Learning, this introductory course explores the ideas and methods behind linear systems. You will begin with lines and linear equations, then learn how matrices can represent systems of equations.

You will explore applications of linear systems and numerical methods for finding solutions, with readings, practice exercises, and homework to help you apply what you learn. The course includes approximately seven hours of learning material. It is part of the Foundations of Linear Algebra Specialization and can also be taken independently.
