Staff Software Engineer
The Open-Source Software (OSS) team is responsible for developing and improving the software eco-system around Arm's next generation of applications processors.
As a member of the Open-Source Software Group, you will have the opportunity to build your, knowledge, and expertise on Open-Source projects such as Linux Kernel, Trusted Firmware, etc. This contribution helps drive the development of world-class System Software for architected hardware and software platforms catering to different segments such as Mobile which become reference designs for futuristic devices in the market.

What will I be accountable for:
Contribution to the design and development of reference systems and platform software for Arm application processors and MCUs.
Leading and handling a small number of engineers.
Supporting key partners, upstreaming and maintaining the software components
We would like you to be part of an extended development team you can expect to be working face to face with some of the greatest household names in our industry
Helping to develop, optimize and deliver the software needed to support Arm's ground-breaking IP, as well as helping Arm grow its role in new embedded and enterprise market segments.
What skills, experience and qualifications do I need?
With 10+ years of proven experience in embedded software development.
Good understanding of complex SoCs architectures, preferably designed for mobile systems.
Understanding IOMMU/SMMU architecture and frameworks.
Experience in bootloader, device drivers and embedded software security.
Experience in developing complex software stacks written preferably in C or C++. Basic scripting knowledge Python or shell scripts
Excellent debugging skills using JTAG and other software methods.
Good understanding of ARM- v8-A and ARM-M architectures.
Show strong interpersonal and communication skills that are vital for success; we are looking for excellent written and spoken English.

Desirable Skills & Qualities
Experience with working with an open-source community. We value familiarity with open-source project development cycles and contribution processes.
