The opportunity is to join a leading provider of IT support, managed services, cyber security and cloud solutions. The company has offices in London and Manchester. Circa 120 members of staff.
The business supports and has completed large projects for some prestigious clients including 20 Fenchurch Street, Landsec, Devonshire Square, Camden Lock and some leading FMCG businesses and hedge funds/private equity firms.
The role is to join as a Solutions Architect. They have some really nice offices in the heart of the City. They are a really professional outfit, but the business has a friendly rather than City corporate feel.
The Solutions Architect role is crucial in driving growth by designing and proposing new IT infrastructure and transformation strategies for clients and prospects. This role involves a deep technical understanding of various technologies, including Managed IT Services, Cyber Security, Cloud and Networking infrastructure.
The role will have an impact on customer experience, success and satisfaction and may involve aspects such as improving client efficiency, reducing costs, or enhancing security. The Solutions Architect must stay current with industry knowledge and emerging trends to deliver complex and commercially aligned IT solutions.
The Role:
- Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, and services teams in designing and proposing new IT infrastructure solutions.
- Provide technical input for tender and bid responses, managing the completion of technical bids and solution overviews.
- Attend client meetings alongside Sales and Account Management teams to provide consultative support, technical expertise, and strategic insight.
- Understand clients' strategic and operational needs for a modern and collaborative workspace.
- Guide managed and professional services teams in client project onboarding and infrastructure mobilization.
- Participate in strategic planning meetings to propose effective technology roadmaps.
- Identify sales opportunities and ensure the services and solutions portfolio is current and fits client needs.
- Regularly reviewing and updating IT strategies, budgets & roadmaps to ensure they remain aligned with industry best practices and technological advancements.
- Maintain effective partnerships with vendors and distributors to support sales and technical certifications.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator Expert
- Cisco CCNA or CCNP Routing/Switching DNA or equivalent experience.
- Experience with wireless infrastructure technologies & design.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Server Applications, Active Directory, Exchange, and AVD.
- Experience in Microsoft Azure & 365 migration and solution design.
- Expertise in Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies and migrations.
- Virtualization (VMware) implementation and administration experience.
- Knowledge of mainstream Storage, Backup/Replication, and DR Technologies.
