Location: Johnston, RI 02919 (Fully Remote)

OVERVIEW / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Solutions Architect for software solutions guides technology direction across product teams, builds, and maximizes the capabilities and skills within the chapter, manages and supports chapter members (employees and contingent labor).
The Solution Architect is responsible for the development and growth of their chapter members and building of competencies.
They are responsible for team composition optimization, for reviewing priorities and assessing resource and or backlog redirection, for metrics associated with talent evolution, and for all other administrative responsibilities within the Chapter.
The Solutions Architect is a technologist who identifies relevant technology trends and tools that could improve skillsets within the Chapter and overall technology product delivery.
The Solutions Architect is a leader who engages with the team and product owners as technical SME to ensure alignment of strategic direction for the technology managed within their area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required. Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Management of Information Systems is a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
‘ 7+ years of strong experience as an IT expert and leader in software solutions (development and package implementation)
‘ Work with architecture and product owners to understand capacity and demands and optimize the skills on teams
‘ Experience challenging chapter team members to create rewarding working environment in which they are driven and motivated to have a real impact within their respected product teams.
‘ Experience in evaluating technologies, running effective technology proof of concepts, and managing technology vendor relationships.
‘ Experience interviewing, recruiting, hiring, assessing, and retaining personnel.
‘ Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing highly motivated technical workforce.
‘ Experience working on cross-function initiatives and products that cover several organizations, business units or countries.
AGILE EXPERIENCE:
‘ Experience in fast-paced Agile environments is a plus.
‘ Recognized servant leader’
The Solutions and Enterprise Architects will need to educate on.
‘ Security Standards
‘ Remediation of Technical Debt
‘ Architecting the Solution (without shorts cuts)
‘ Negotiating the product owners’ backlogs and prioritizing the projects.
