Job Description

As an Aerospike Software Engineer, focusing on Tools products, you will be responsible for all aspects of development and testing of the product you are responsible for, including understanding requirements from customers, designing and implementing key features, fixing bugs, ensuring quality by stringent testing and supporting the launch of the product in mission-critical deployments.

Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing techniques for new kinds of observability and manageability of distributed systems
- Dashboarding for distributed databases and client applications that allows for understanding the state of systems (infrastructure, services, etc.) using telemetry data (metrics, traces and logs).
- Enable database administrators to quickly identify potential problems and bottlenecks in Aerospike and getting to a quick resolution – either automatically or manual intervention with guidance to database administrators
- Managing all aspects of tooling development including:
- Understanding requirements from customers.
- Designing and implementing key features, fixing bugs, and ensuring quality with stringent testing.
- Supporting the launch of the product in mission critical deployments.
- Large scale distributed database architectures.
- World-class distributed system technology including clustered system, distributed database, distributed computing, distributed storage, etc.
- Handling these fine details:
- OLTP NoSQL database, in particular for high performance, low latency applications like real-time advertising, Stock trading, Fraud detection and prevention, etc.
