A client with Kforce is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their team remotely.
The Software Engineer II will be responsible for researching and analyzing data processing practices and procedures and develops solutions and recommendations for improvement. The candidate completes complex programming assignments by defining specifications, writing new or modified code, and testing the code to verify the program.
- Software Engineer II will participate end to end in the product life cycle: requirements gathering, analysis, solution design, development, code reviews, testing and implementation using Agile methodologies
Participate in peer discussions on architecture and overall direction of RESTful APIs
Work with team members to design solutions that are supported by the architecture of the existing systems
Communicate project status and deliverables between several stakeholders including product managers, project managers and engineers
Review API designs and code from your peers, fix bugs, and troubleshoot operational issues as they occur
As a Software Engineer II, you will write code and perform testing and debugging of applications using Java and various Spring technologies
Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance
May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences
3+ years of experience building RESTful API's using various Spring Projects, such as Spring Boot, Spring, Spring Data JPA, etc.
Java, Spring backend coding experience is a must
Experience writing unit and integration test cases using JUnit, Mockito, Spring Cloud Contracts, etc.
Extensive RESTful APIs design experience
Experience working collaboratively using Agile/Scrum methodology
Should be able to work with minimal supervision
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Experience with agile methodology is desired
Experience with RESTful APIs, Swaggers, GitHub, XLDeploy, and Jenkins are a plus
- One interview round with Dev Manager, Scrum Master, and Lead Developer
Second round of interviews only when further coding skills need to be reviewed
- Standard 8 hours of work a day (8 am to 5 pm with 1 hour lunch break)
