Our client is a software development company based in the North East who build high performing teams and develop successful software applications for their customers. The Company is looking to hire a frontend software engineer, with a background in JavaScript and Angular, to join their growing team.
They are looking for someone to join their team who is passionate about their craft, who thrives in a collaborative environment, and who can deliver outstanding software solutions. The role would suit a dynamic, driven individual who has strong communication skills, who can work to specification, and provide an engaging customer experience.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Typescript, Angular
- Use of version control, Git/SVN
- Experienced in Unit Testing / Integration Testing
- History of working with QA and testing teams to deliver a quality product
- Working knowledge of databases and dynamic content is desirable
- Ability to produce accurate documentation
- Ability to analyse information and solve problems
- Any JQuery, JSP, XSLT, Java, AWS, DevOps or experience of Accessibility best practices is desirable but not essential
Responsibilities
- Turn concepts and requirements into exceptional, highly available, quality web application using industry standard languages and technologies.
- Deliver exceptional software solutions to specification and on schedule to provide an engaging customer experience.
- Implement highly modular and maintainable components across a horizontally scalable application framework designed to maximise reuse across multiple channels.
- Participate in the definition of scope of projects and estimates of timescales for development and maintenance work.
- Play a proactive part in owning your teams outputs, taking responsibility for code quality, security and scalability.
- Measuring performance and addressing technical issues when required.
- Contribute enthusiastically to our continuous improvement of coding practices, application quality, tooling, and agile processes.
- Participate in code reviews and embrace peer feedback on your work.
- Participating in regular showcases of new work to the customer and business stakeholders.
