Software Engineer – React, Node.js, and (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) – 550 PD Inside IR35 – 6 months – Flexible working
Overview:
My client are looking for a Software Engineer who can help continue to develop and improve their website which ties together every part of their digital platform and attracts millions of visitors a year
You will be working closely with a multidisciplinary product team and with colleagues to ensure the digital products you work on meet or exceed the expectations of their users and that diverse audiences engage with and gain a sense of belonging to the company.
Role & Responsibilities:
Building online guides to give visitors new ways to experience our exhibitions, such as audio or BSL interpreted content
Improving the online search, to allow researchers to find more
Creating a new way for researchers to browse and download born-digital archives
Essential Experience & Skills:
Strong experience with React, Node.js, and browser-based technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
Desired Skills & Experience:
Knowledge of good development practices, like version control, infrastructure-as-code, and continuous integration
Practical experience working on web accessibility and the WCAG guidelines
Experience monitoring and improving the performance of user-facing services
Experience of Agile processes and product teams
Contract details:
Rate – Circa 550 PD Inside IR35 (dependent on experience)
Duration – 6 months
