My client has over 35 years' experience in providing advanced test systems to the automotive industry. Our range includes e-motor, IC engine, power train, vehicle, and component testing equipment.
We have opportunities for graduate and experienced Software Developers (Visual Studio C#, C++, C) to join our teams based in Worcestershire. The roles cover core product development and automation control software for complex test cell and rig applications both in house and on site.
The work encompasses our in-house high-speed data acquisition system, EtherCAT protocols, real time control systems, WINDOWS desktop, and automation application development. We are using some of the latest technologies such as Microsoft.Net Core, XAML, WIN UI, UWP, microservices and gRPC, MVVM, NoSQL databases and embedded ARM.
These roles provide a rare opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary product development environment spanning electronic hardware, embedded firmware, PC software, mechanical, fluidic and electrical automation systems.
We will consider applications from developers with a passion for technology demonstrated through practical experience. You will be focused on getting things right and not afraid of questioning other people's ideas. A person who can work on their own yet interact with other members of a team as well as a willingness to learn and adapt to different circumstances.
The main tasks will be:
‘ Designing and implementing control system and equipment interface applications
‘ Integrating software, electronic, mechanical, and fluidic systems.
‘ Design and product documentation
‘ Providing product technical support to our customers
You'll be a good fit if you have experience in some of the following skill areas:
‘ C#, C++, C
‘ MS Visual Studio
‘ OOD/OOP, MVVM
‘ WINDOWS OS application development
‘ RTOS application development
‘ Automotive and industrial communications interfaces
‘ Project management tools and source code version control systems
Nice to have:
‘ Degree in engineering, computing, science, or a similar field
‘ Experience in the field or similar
‘ Experience in database interfaces
