Senior Wireless Software Engineer – 3GPP / LTE / Layer 1 / L1 / Embedded / C/C++
We are recruiting for a number of Senior Wireless Software Engineers with solid experience within Realtime embedded software in C/C++, Layer 1 and Protocol Software for 3GPP LTE and/or NR Cellular systems to join our client onsite (Hybrid) in Cambridge on long term contracts.
Our client is a globally known semiconductor company, and as a Senior Wireless Software Engineer you will be focused on the design, implementation and verification of the modem software used in their latest and most advanced chipsets
Please note – these contracts will be INSIDE IR35 and you will be working on a PAYE set-up.
Required skills
- Good degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- Experience with specification, design and implementation of real time embedded SW in C/C++
- Experience with L1 and protocol software for 3GPP LTE and/or NR cellular systems (ideally on the UE side)
- Familiarity with build systems and source control
- Experience in SW design for multi-threading processors
- Understanding of processor subsystems, memory and bus architectures
Desirable skills:
- Experience with DSP programming
- Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs
