As part of the RWE team, you’ll be responsible for the following activities:
You will be part of a team of dynamic and talented analysts who are responsible for planning and delivering data analysis across multiple therapeutic areas. The projects involve both prospective and retrospective observational studies and include working with a variety of medical data sources (chart reviews, surveys, electronic medical records, health claims, and registries). You will contribute to the UK and Global projects, the complexity ranging from basic to advanced analytics. Specific responsibilities include the following:
- Provide statistical and methodological expertise into the development of project concepts, synopses, and protocols
- Develop the statistical analysis plans (SAPs)
- Data preparation for the analysis (cleaning & wrangling)
- Conducting statistical analysis
- Assisting in the interpretation of the results and subsequent report writing
- Attend client and investigator meetings to discuss data and present results
- Assist with wider presentation and dissemination of data through supporting the drafting of abstracts, posters, and manuscripts
- Line management and supervision of team members
What you will bring:
Essential
- Postgraduate degree in Medical Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related Health Data Science subject (or an equivalent of undergraduate degree and relevant work experience)
- Advanced knowledge of medical data statistical techniques and methods (regression, survival analyses, longitudinal data modelling, among other)
- Good working knowledge of R
- Familiarity with clinical terminology (ICD10, OPCS4, other)
- Experience in healthcare data analysis and reporting
- Fluent written and spoken English
Desirable
- Good working knowledge of SQL
- Experience of working in the healthcare industry (CRO or pharmaceutical) or the NHS
- Understanding of common data models and principles of data structuring
- Experience of working with publicly available medical datasets (UK Biobank, CPRD, HES, other)
