Primary Responsibilities:
Demonstrates advance level of understanding and application of general systems concepts and their integration with business problem resolution
Ensure alignment of solutions with business and IT goals/objectives
Identify enhancements to improve supportability, operability or performance of applications within the application group. Develop supporting business case for suggested enhancements
Work with business partners / product owners to understand desired system functionality
Understand new product capabilities and decompose the implementation into specific functional changes for verification
Participate in design activities, monitor and ensure the completion of tasks and projects
Exercise independent judgment and discretion to prioritize, plan and manage the activities of the team
Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and improving performance
Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required
Provide guidance to team members to improve the team productivity
Manage multiple projects at a time
Set attainable goals for the team members and guide them thru success
Deliver all project deliverables on scope, on time and on budget

Required Qualifications:
4+ years of experience within a Java environment
2+ years of web development experience
1+ years of production experience with cloud technologies
Experience delivering software using an Agile methodology
In-depth knowledge of systems development life cycle and/or operational maintenance environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Experience working in the healthcare industry
Business rule engine experience
Experience with the following:
Streaming technology i.e. Kafka
Cloud – AWS, Oracle Cloud
Database – NoSQL, GraphDB
Microservices architecture
Web Development – React, Angular
Experience prototyping and performance tuning applications deployed across multiple operating systems, languages and computing platforms
Develop project cost and benefit estimates, including identification and evaluation of alternatives
Provide training and assistance on full range of technical issues to broader team
Understanding of distributed architecture design principles
