Senior Software Engineer (Ruby) | £100k & stock | Remote or London-based
The company are transforming a confusing & frustrating consumer buying process in to one that is simple, enjoyable, and where people can wave good bye to buyer's remorse. They have just hit a total of £120 million investment and acquired a company in 2020 which added another facet on to the service provided. This is currently going really well and has created new projects for the company to embark on
The technical team is made up of around 90 individuals, and they're incredibly tech-driven, with this at the core of ideas and the future of the company. The tech function consists of a CTO, Engineering Managers, Technical Leaders, Senior, Mid, and Junior Software Developers. There is currently a strong drive to hire Senior Engineers and Tech Leads.
The CTO has been at the company since its inception in 2010 and is determined to create a business that champions progression, keeping up with the latest software, and delivering an unrivalled consumer experience. You'll have the chance to them during the interview.
Your impact will include working on one of the newer projects which is helping to drive the business forward & solve current challenges. You'll be using Ruby on Rails on the backend & make sure it can work in symbiosis with a frontend built using Elm. You will advocate for TDD, and take part in reviewing code/ offering constructive critique to the people around you.
