Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are always looking for great people to join our award-winning team of colleagues. We are looking to hire a Senior C# .NET Developer to join our growing Overseas development team. This is a role within a great team and project working full stack across our systems.
What you will be doing?
You will be joining our existing scrum team working on our in-house developed overseas platform, used extensively by several areas of the business, including Pre-Travel Services, Overseas Operations, Customer Operations and Jet2's famous 'Red Team' – our Customer Helpers in resort. You will:
- Use collaborative tools to support our overseas operation, covering critical areas such as Case Management, Transfers, Accommodation Changes and Building Works
- You will also cover future initiatives such as Operational Disruption
- Write clean testable code
- Deliver solid technical solutions to benefit our company and customers
- Carry out code reviews to provide constructive feedback to fellow team members
- Develop new and exciting features as well as maintain the existing platform ensuring it performs well for our large user base
- Contribute to three amigos, backlog refinement and estimation sessions to facilitate planning and delivery of the strategic roadmap
- Ensure code quality is of a high standard and appropriate design patterns and principles are implemented
- Mentor team members to facilitate their growth and progression
- This remote working team is based in Leeds and works closely with our India based Jet2 Travel Technologies teams
What skills / experience do you need?
You will be an advocate for clean coding practices, be passionate about continuous improvement and be a keen follower of current and emerging technologies. Also important:
- You should have a strong technical background with a solid understanding of software development techniques
- You should be a strong team player with an eye for detail.
- You should have hands on experience with our key technologies such as C#, Web API, MS SQL, Angular, CSS and .NET Core
- It would be beneficial to have exposure to include SOLR, Rabbit MQ, CQRS, event sourcing and Service Fabric.
- Experience with agile processes and practices
- Adapt and respond well to change
- Manage pressure effectively and raise potential issues
- Make prompt, clear decisions and evaluates risks
- Take responsibility for actions and delivery
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage and support the teams both onshore and offshore
